Wine Tours for students of MBA Luxury Brand Management, Food and Wine and Master Wine Marketing & Management

From Monday 9th May to Wednesday 11th May, students of the MBA Luxury Brand Management and Master Wine Marketing & Management, from the Paris campus, were invited in Bordeaux to do a 3-day wine tour, in English. This business trip was held as a part of the programs.

The first day, students were welcomed in the Bordeaux campus by an introduction on Bordeaux and its differences with Paris in the luxury market. Thereafter, they attended a presentation of the Wine Cellar and Business Model, by Gerard Spatafora, manager of the leading fine wine merchant Millésima. To complete this first day, a tasting session was then offered at the wine bar Aux Quatre Coins du Vin, held by a MBA Wine Marketing graduate.

The following day, students explored the Médoc vineyards, starting off with a guided tour of the Château Léoville Poyferre (Grand Cru Classé in 1855). They also visited the Château Lynch Bages, ranked among 10 Great International Wine Destinations in Forbes Magazine. Students attended there a presentation of the ecotouristic site Village de Bages, by the owner, M. Caze. Last but not least, students discovered in the afternoon the Château du Tertre (Grand Cru Classé in 1855).

The last day, before coming back to Paris, students enjoyed one last tasting, offered by the BIWI wine club, Wineabout.
